We have poo!

Haha! Mady pooped on her little potty for the first time!!! Yahoo! I'm so proud of my little girl. I did infact take a picture of it, but I will preserve her dignity just a little bit and not post it on the internet for all to see. Plus, that would just be gross.

We bought her a potty chair a couple weeks ago to get her used to the idea of going on the potty. We haven't really gotten serious about it but will put her on it when she gets up in the morning or from naps, when we go, and before her baths. So far she's done nothing but sit.

Today when she was eating her snack, she gave me "the look" and I asked her if she needed to use the potty. She got excited, smiled, and shook her head "yes". I brought her to the potty chair and had her sit while I played with a toy with her. Then she did it! I was so proud and was making a big deal about it. I think she felt pretty proud of herself, too. Now only to make this a repeat thing, we would be potty-trained...haha! I'm not betting on that one quite yet! I thought this was a pretty good Mother's Day gift along with sleeping in until 8:45. =)

I had a FANTASTIC 2nd Mother's Day thanks to my wonderful family. I am blessed beyond belief to have the most wonderful little girl in the world. She makes every day more joyful, and always brings a smile to my face with her goofyness and ability to make everyone laugh. I absolutely love being a mom to this precious little girl. She amazes me everyday. It is my hope that I can be the best possible mom to her. I want to raise her to be a strong, confident, Christian woman who puts God first in her life. I want her to enjoy every moment life brings her. I am enjoying every moment of her life right beside her and can't wait to see what the next year has instore.

I also have the best mom in the world. She is truly my best friend and I feel lost if I don't talk to her at least every other day. I love doing things with her and just talking to her about everything. It is so much fun to watch her as a "grammy", too. She is ALWAYS there for me no matter what time it is, or what I need. She is amazing!! Thank you, Mom, for being you and for all of our time together.
